We support little Ginny

09.07.10

Wow!  Ginny has changed so much since we saw her in the hospital a few months ago.  She has a full head of hair and a great temperment.  Jason and Rachel couldn’t be happier to have their little girl home safe and sound.

Although Ginny’s family is incredibly lucky to live in Gainesville and be able to go home every night, not many families are that lucky.  As soon as Ginny left the hospital, another baby took her place.  Please join us in helping these families by participating in the Ginny’s Room program at the Ronald McDonald House of Gainesville.

For the entire month of September Photography 35 will being offering a special session fee ($25 for a studio session and $50 for an on-location session) and donating them to the Ginny’s Room Project.  Celebrate your family this fall with a new family portrait.

Wow, how she’s grown!

08.31.10

If you’ve ever been in the studio, you know that we have a picture of this cute little baby in her mother’s arms hanging on the wall.  It is pretty big, 24×24, but a very sweet, touching picture of this super cute baby.  Well, Mia, the older of the two sisters is that baby.  Time just flies.  It seems like only yesterday we did that photo.  Now Mia is 3 and Zoey, her baby sister is just about to turn 1.  And boy are they “mini” mes of their parents, James and Megan.  At first I didn’t see it, but as I editted the pictures and looked at expressions you can totally see it.  We were super happy to get the session in considering it has been rained out 3X!  Megan, with the help of James’s mom & grandma, made the beautiful dresses for the girls.  We got such cute pictures.

Little baby Reagan

07.18.10

This child is adorable!  At first glance, she looks just like her daddy, Matt (same face and bald head).  But looking through the pictures from their first session with us, she totally has mommy’s smile.  And I love Michele’s smile.  We did Matt and Michele’s wedding and their pictures are still some of our favorites.  So sweet.  And she was such a happy baby, we did a ton of pictures and she let us do them all without a single complaint – Amazing.

Wow! How they have grown…

06.17.10

We did a family portrait for the Moss Family about 5 years ago.  Recently we ran into Linda Moss and her husband John at a YMCA soccer game and she said it was time to get the boys in the studio again.  Boys?  Kyle is taller than his mom and towers over me and Ryan is not short himself, especially considering he is in 5th grade.  Amazing how quickly they change.  And the great thing about Linda and John is that they know we will get more natural expressions when it is just us and them.  We had fun goofing off and hamming it up in the studio.

Jr Anchors and the girls

06.03.10

Jr’s parents were in town a few weeks ago and wanted to cash in there Christmas present, Jr got them a gift certificate to the studio for a picture of them and their grandchildren.  What a great present- no exchanging, it always fits and it is a present they treasure forever.

My favorite pictures of the girls is this one with Jr and the girls.

The Bank’s siblings at play

04.01.10

We love family photos where the kids relax and have fun!  Many parents feel everything needs to be look at the camera and smile.  This is one of my favorite picture!  Cameron and Keiley were just being brother and sister, not models for the camera.   It really shows there true personality as siblings.  It also shows the true love Keiley has for her brother.  Priceless.

My little model Annabeth

03.24.10

Holly & Brent Christensen were kind enough to let me borrow there little ball of energy, Annabeth.  She was the perfect model for an idea that came out of another session at the studio.  She looks like a little angel as she is surrounded by floating tulle.  We love how these portraits came out!  Super cute.  Can’t wait for Holly to see the rest of them on Friday.

High Dynamic Range

03.06.10

We are proud to now be offering a new style of photography for interiors and exteriors called High Dynamic Range.  The purpose of this style of photography is to be able to show detail where a normal image would fall short.  High Dynamic Range, or HDR as it is called, gives detail in the darkest shadows as well as the brightest highlights.  If you look at the example below as a large print, you can see the railing and chandeliers inside the lobby, something you could never do with film or regular digital photography.

Be aware, a lot of people are going to starting saying they can do HDR, but it is more than pressing a button in photoshop.  We have studied with Ben Willmore and Dan Burkeholder, 2 of the experts in HDR and learned the secrets and tricks to creating a true HDR image.

Check out the image below.  Before is the type of image you’d get from a photographer who did not know HDR.  After is the HDR image we created of the same scene.  If you’d like to see the detail in the full size file.  Please feel free to contact the studio and I’ll be happy to share the file with you.

Luke Delker Next NASCAR Star

01.29.10

Little Luke Delker was in the studio recently for the last portrait in his “Watch Me Grow” album.  Jill and Adam brought Luke in with his red car that he just loves!  We found out he loves it even more when dad has him doing wheelies and racing around the studio.  Super cute!  This picture came after Adam raced him around the studio and stopped right in front of lens.
